Position Summary:
The Dental Assistant is an integral member of our dental team, providing essential support during various general dental procedures. This role primarily focuses on patient preparation, chair-side assistance, and patient education related to general dental procedures like extractions and fillings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists with general dental procedures, including simple extractions and fillings.
- Prepare patients for treatment by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort.
- Keep track of the patient's dental records and update them as necessary.
- Provide chair-side assistance during various dental procedures.
- Educate patients about proper oral care and hygiene.
- Pursue individual and team Goals
- Participate in staff meetings and One-on-Ones.
- Follow protocol included in the Employee Handbook, Disciplinary Guidelines, and all safety materials.
Requirements:
- Certification from an accredited dental assistant program.
- Prior experience in a dental assisting role is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
- Excellent teamwork and patient-care skills.
- Schedule requirements: 4 days a week, alternating Mondays and Fridays off. Flexibility for 5 days a week as needed.
