General Laborer - 2nd Shift

Second Shift: Monday - Thursday, 1PM - 11 PM

Jet Container Company was founded in 1977 by Joe Schmitt in Columbus, Ohio.He started Jet with 4 employees and began by selling boxes out of his car.Now in its second generation of ownership, Jet currently operates out of a 275,000-square-foot facility, which has allowed for investments in new machinery and increased capacity.From humble beginnings, Jet now produces over 250 million square feet of product a year.

POSITION DESCRIPTION DETAILS

The General Laborer assists our Machine Operators in setting up, feeding and cleaning up our corrugated machines.If you have a strong work ethic and initiative to succeed in a fast paced environment, we want to meet you!

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Count and stack finished product
• Feed and load machines
• Inspect product for defects and quality issues
• Learn, understand and update specs in Kiwi system
• Blow down machines, wipe off shafts, clean ink systems, vacuum and sweep the machine area, and pick up and shred scrap
• Cross-training between different positions & machines

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE

• High School diploma or G.E.D
• 2 years of work experience in a high workflow production environment
• Meticulous attention to detail, extremely thorough and adept at detecting errors
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and maintain high performance; flexible
• Ability to continuously lift and maneuver 50 75 pounds

SALARY RANGE

$17/hour

Second Shift: Monday - Thursday, 1PM - 11 PM
