Domestic Couple

We are looking to hire a Domestic Couple to oversee the care and maintenance of an estate in Parkdale, OR. The couple will be responsible for the care and maintenance of the home (inside and out), trail, pond, grounds, and garden.

The Grounds Maintenance position requires someone who has experience maintaining an estate and enjoys working outside to make sure the homes and grounds are maintained to the highest degree.

Housekeeping and Gardening responsibilities include mopping, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, washing windows and glass doors, maintaining aesthetic appearance, deep cleaning bathrooms, kitchen, and laundry room, cleaning and making up beds, and care for the estate garden.

Building and Grounds Maintenance duties:

• Oversee all aspects of landscaping, multiple lawns, tree care, irrigation, and maintaining trails and pond.
• Inventory and purchasing for all grounds care related supplies.
• Care and daily operation of main house and cottage.
• General carpentry on home and other structures.
• Oversee all systems including electrical/generator, HVAC, security, plumping, all lighting, entertainment and internet.
• Clean and attend to fireplaces, exterior of house and windows, and hardscapes; garbage and recycling.
• Coordinate with partner to schedule and meet with vendors and service persons as needed.
• Set up and prepare for special parties and events at property.
• Coordinate with crews (i.e. lighting, tents, furniture).
• Provide assistance with parking and greet guests.
• Other duties as assigned.

Housekeeping and Gardening duties:

• Maintaining the cleanliness of entire home (kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, living rooms, etc.).
• Maintain neat and orderly public spaces.
• Dust and vacuum as needed.
• Sweep and mop the floors as needed.
• Order supplies as needed including grocery lists, shopping, etc.
• Prepare snacks drinks as requested.
• Answer phone and door, take messages and process deliveries.
• Personally perform and ensure the care of plants and landscapes through the mowing, pruning, watering, weeding, planting flowers and vegetables, leaf removal, and snow shoveling when necessary.

Experience, training, skills required:

• A minimum of 3 years' related experience.
• Ability to live in the house full-time.
• Be responsible, reliable, trustworthy, caring and well presented.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be organized, a multi-tasker and detail-oriented.
• The couple will reside in a separate guest house.
