Wellness Center Technician

Pali Adventures - Running Springs, California


Brief Description:

The Wellness Center Technician is an active member of the Wellness Center team. They are primarily responsible for ensuring an accurate and timely medication pass occurs for all campers. The Wellness Center Technician will work closely with healthcare staff in the Wellness Center to provide first-aid as necessary to campers and staff. They will operate at a high standard to ensure discretion and accuracy.



Qualifications:

  • Current First-Aid/CPR certification
  • Medication Technician Certification (can be obtained upon hire)
  • Familiarity with healthcare facilities and practices preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in using technology and software
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team to achieve goals
  • Experience working with children, esp. those with higher needs

Job Requirements:

Essential Functions/Duties

  • Provide first-aid to campers and staff
  • Work with healthcare staff to ensure complete care of staff and students
  • Restock the Wellness Center and perform regular inventories of supplies
  • Maintain and upkeep the cleanliness and order of the Wellness Center
  • Attend professional in-service sessions
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Assist with medication distribution for campers
  • Other duties as assigned

Compensation

The Wellness Center Technician will be compensated at a rate of $16 per hour. All regular compensation earned will be payable on the 10th and 26th of each month. Federal, state, local or other taxes or amounts will be deducted as required by law from the total compensation earned.


Duties and Responsibilities:

The employee is expected to perform services in a responsible and presentable manner at all times during the Pali Institute season. The employee has received Pali Institute Rules and Policies, has read them, and agrees to abide by them. Furthermore, the employee agrees to perform and assume responsibility for the tasks outlined on the attached sheet(s) entitled Job Description that is hereby made part of the contract. The employee understands and agrees that Pali Institute may change, modify, add, or remove any rule or policy at its discretion or when it deems it necessary. The employee agrees to abide by any such modification, addition, or removal. It is the essence and intent of the agreement that the primary concern and interest of both contracting parties is the quality of the program and the welfare of the participants at Pali Institute. The employee accepts other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Director of Outdoor Education.
