Salary:

Position may be based out of Luana Savings Bank's Polk City, Norwalk, or Luana locations. 


The CFO Oversees all record keeping, budgeting, tax and accounting activities of the financial institution. Makes recommendations relating to budget preparation, profit forecasts, and operational changes as needed. Responsible for the bank's funds management activities and investment portfolio. Issues reports on financial stability, liquidity, income and expenses; provides economic analysis and market share data for planning and competitive analysis; analyzes securities and investment activities. Leads the Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO) and asset/liability management (ALM) functions of the bank. Reviews, ensures compliance, and makes recommendations to finance-related bank policies and plans. Conducts or supervises accounting, budgeting, and/or financial analysis functions, as well as the necessary mathematical/financial projection models/systems to support such activities. Responsible for compiling financial and accounting reports, preparation of accounting entries, and adjustments to the bank's operating statements. Call report preparation will be a high priority. Presents to the Board of Directors Monthly. Reports to the CEO.

Responsibilities


  • Participate in asset liability management and funds management program.
  • Lead the Asset and Liability Management Committee (ALCO), compiling and analyzing internal and 3rd party information for the committee and Board of Directors monthly. 
  • Prepare and analyze Bank and Bank Holding Company call reports.
  • Establish a powerful and effective financial system, help prepare all accounts and financial statements of the bank timely, review periodically.
  • Assist the bank in financial and management accounting, costing and auditing. 
  • Ensure the bank complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.
  • Review and/or execute findings and recommendations made by internal/external auditors. 


Required Skills & Attributes


  • Reside within a 30 miles radius from a designated office or willing to relocate. If relocating, please include relocation details in cover letter.
  • Must have strong experience with Asset and Liability Management, including experience in reporting and modeling of reports, rate shock forecasts, and assumptions.  
  • Minimum 7+ years in a comparable or closely-related financial management role at a financial institution (Chief Financial Officer, Financial Officer, Cashier, Controller, Accountant, etc.) 
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written with ability to prepare documents, compose letters, policies, and procedures.
  • Exercise sound judgment, accurately identify and proactively resolve potential problems, make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Strong collaboration/cooperation skills to process duties efficiently and accurately.
  • Professional appearance and behavior at all times.
  • Follow all established policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Accurate, attentive to detail, well organized.
  • Self-starter and able to work independently. 
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree, must be proficient in finance, business, and performance.


Desired Skills & Attributes


  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Certified Public Accountant Certification (CPA) and/or Certified Management Accountant Certification (CMA).

  • At-Will, Full-Time position based on 40 hours per week, minimal travel.
  • Schedule is 8AM-4:30PM M-F.
