Job Summary:
Senior Helpers of Lafayette is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team! As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide essential home care services to our senior clients, allowing them to maintain their independence and quality of life. This role is part-time, with the potential for additional hours, and the hourly pay ranges from $10 to $12 based on experience. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping others and making a difference in the lives of seniors in our community.

Responsibilities:
- Assist seniors with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Assist with medication reminders and monitoring
- Meal preparation and planning, following dietary restrictions if necessary
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Run errands and provide transportation for appointments or social outings
- Engage in conversation and companionship with clients
- Notify supervisor of any changes in client's condition or needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided

Requirements:
- Compassionate and patient attitude with a genuine desire to help seniors
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a home care setting or caring for seniors preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and caregivers
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds
- Available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
