Underground Subcontractor/ Field Technician

At DCOMM we support everything from design to activation, underground to aerial, and single-family units to multi-dwelling units. We are currently experiencing a high volume of DIG and Aerial work and are looking to expand our Underground team!

• Dig Contractor: This job consists of locating and termination of telecom cables, underground conduit/duct digs, digging pits (3 - 5ft deep) to expose cables and replacing pedestals. The jobs will be completed with the use of machines and/or shovels.

• Aerial Contractor: Aerial linemen are responsible for installing and maintaining the cables, wires, and other equipment that deliver phone service, internet access, and television programming to homes and businesses. Work is performed on utility poles, sometimes in dangerous conditions, to install new equipment or repair existing infrastructure.

What we need from you:

• Must be eligible to legally work in the United States
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable Driving Record
• Social Security Card
• Must pass industry-standard Background check
• Must pass pre-employment Drug Test
• Valid Insurance & Registration (if 1099)
• Have a reliable Work Vehicle (if 1099)
• Good communication skills

Physical Requirements:

• Be able to work outdoors in all-weather condition

Job Requirements:

• Willing to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours as required by the workload
• Must be able to work in an outside environment in variable weather conditions
• General knowledge of, but not limited to underground cabling/fiber & easements
• Restores job site environment to its original condition.
• Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned
