FTE: Part Time, 0.5, 40.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $20.50 - $30.46 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
• CNA or equivalent experience.
• Preferred: Gastroenterology certification.

Summary:

Assists with a wide variety of gastroenterology and other procedures, utilizing population-specific guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Adheres to the National Society of Gastrointestinal Nurses and Assistants Standards of Practice. Sets up for and assists physicians with procedures. Carries out procedures under the direction of the referring physician and RN as approved. Provides population-specific patient care.
• Utilizes safety and barrier precautions and promotes patient and staff safety. Provides clerical functions to assist in the coordination of patient care.
• Cleans and maintains GI equipment per protocols. Maintains patient charts and case histories. Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment. Assists with admission assessment data collection as delegated by an RN.
• Assists with orienting new staff and cross-training of staff.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
