Computer Aided Design (CAD) Technician

Title: CAD Technician

Location: Tampa, FL (33637) – on-site five days a week

Duration: 12-month contract-to-hire

Interview Process: One round onsite interview

Target Start Date: 4/29/2024

Must Haves:

• 1+ years of relevant 2-D AutoCAD experience (in school or working)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Plusses:

• Previous background in the utilities industry using CAD
• Knowledge of underground feeders, switchgears, and circuit boards
• Understanding of reclosures and capacitor banks

Day-to-Day:

Insight Global's client is looking for a CAD technician in Tampa, FL. This person will be responsible for using 2-D AutoCAD to review permit drawings, sketches, and descriptions of easements for work in the utilities industry. This position is onsite five days a week because they are an energetic, collaborative group. They communicate very directly and this team have grown from 4 people to 50+ in 3 years so this is a great opportunity for anyone looking for a company to grow with long-term!

Compensation: $21/hr to $25/hr.
