Staff Test Engineer

Job DescriptionJohnson Service Group has an immediate career opportunity for a Staff level Test Engineer. The successful candidate will have 8 years of engineering experience in hardware and software integration. Our client needs someone with expert knowledge of LabView and Python software development, Git source control, and software testing tools. They must be competent in using LabVIEW Object-Oriented Programming, Actor Framework, MAP functions, packed libraries, and other advanced LabVIEW functions. You will be involved in design and support of high complexity test systems and equipment, providing mentoring to other engineers, and driving process improvements. This position works under a low level of supervision with a high level of independent work. The Staff Test Engineer provides awareness and understanding of overall project portfolio, interactions, and issues. In addition, this position may participate in project-specific relationship building with Customers, Suppliers, individuals, or organizations. Develop hardware integration and test algorithms for an integrated proprietary test measurement system using LabView and Python. Designs, supports, improves, and tests high complexity test systems and equipment. Ensures designs meet manufacturability, testability, and reliability criteria. Independently troubleshoots/analyzes system problems.Participates in creation and evaluation of new product test requirements, test methods and strategies; provides estimates for new test equipment.May carry out complex or novel research assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.Promotes and implements process improvements.
