The Director of Digital Paid Media Marketing is responsible for leading our digital brand strategy and execution across multiple paid media channels. Working closely with channel experts the leader will drive the research, strategy, design, forecasting and execution of digital brand programs to grow, engage and retain members across UnitedHealthcare.

The Digital Paid Media Director will be an in-platform expert and have a solid focus on perfecting the use of brand advertising, always-on content, and educational programs to engage prospective and current members through display, video and paid social channels.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, execution, and measurement of digital brand programs across UHC
  • Paid digital media strategies, plans, demand analysis, forecasting and performance
  • Oversee and direct growth activities for Google, Bing, Meta, Instagram, YouTube and future channels to drive brand engagement and affinity
  • Partner with measurement leads and third-party analytics platforms to demonstrate the impact of digital brand advertising on business performance
  • Contribute to the growth of organizational capabilities in digital marketing and champion expansion in to new and emerging areas
  • Design processes and procedures to ensure the on-going excellence of digital media delivery
  • Cultivate relationships with external partners and applicable internal business partners; collaborate closely with finance partners to ensure budgets are planned, managed, and tracked optimally
  • Present results across the marketing organization and senior marketing leadership
  • Stay curious and maintain awareness of progressive marketplace "best practice" and industry trends for digital paid media
  • Provide thought-leadership and subject matter expertise to business leaders and stakeholders across the organization

Years of post-high school education can be substituted/is equivalent to years of experience

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of digital media experience
  • 5+ years leading multi-disciplinary agency or in-house teams
  • Experience driving forecasting of digital media programs, with focus on accuracy and quality
  • Experience leading and developing a team of digital experts, as well as working across indirect reports, cross-functional partners, and agency partners
  • Solid understanding of digital paid media as a brand building and acquisition/retention channel, partnering with internal/external teams to improve online consumer experience
  • Solid understanding of the analytics of digital media programs and the ability to translate and communicate the data and insights to leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of digital media experience
  • 7+ years of leading multi-disciplinary agency or in-house teams
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate and inspire at all levels, including addressing opportunities, risks, and strategic positioning with business and technology partners
  • Track record of displaying ownership, urgency and sound decision-making skills
  • Gaining support for initiatives through influence and use of business rationale
  • Solid leadership and consensus building skills, with a willingness to continually embrace personal and professional development

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
