Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team. As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal sheets according to specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal sheets
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to determine the correct dimensions and tolerances
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure accuracy of bends
- Program machines using CNC controls to execute specific bending sequences
- Select and install appropriate tooling for each job
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as needed
- Inspect finished products for quality and compliance with specifications
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Strong mathematical skills for basic calculations and measurements
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Ability to assemble tooling correctly for different bending operations
- Experience with programming CNC controls is a plus
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments such as calipers
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
