Pathtivity Payment Operations is focused on building a best-in-class payments platform that dynamically changes how money moves with a focus on digital and real-time payment operations. The payment platform will improve customer experiences as well as company profitability.

The ACH Operations Specialist will have a deep working knowledge of the NACHA Operating Rules, thorough understanding of the ACH origination lifecycle and its key players, familiarity with Regulation E, and best practices of the same. This role will be instrumental in our pursuit of accurately and efficiently servicing the ACH lifecycle of our clientele including performing timely ACH origination services, investigation of received ACH returns and proof of authorization requests, and serve as a liaison with clientele ensuring regulatory compliance.

What you will be doing:

  • Primarily responsible for handling Automated Clearing House (ACH) origination and receipt process, facilitating the transmission of files from clients and ACH vendors
  • Routinely exercising knowledge of ACH and ACH system(s), ACH regulations, and ACH process flows
  • Ensuring that these processes and files comply with NACHA and other related regulations
  • Processing of Incoming and Outgoing ACH files
  • Processing of return and notification of change (NOC) files received from banking vendors
  • Educate clientele and team members on processing guidelines and security measures
  • Collaborate with clientele and/or internal business partners on ACH issues
  • Provide direct phone and email support for ACH Operations, using effective communication skills to assist internal business partners and clientele
  • Research and resolve requests for all ACH account payment claims and disputes
  • Support the team in meeting daily deadlines
  • Performs other duties and assignments to support the payments team, as directed by management


  • At least 18 months of ACH experience in the banking or financial services industries
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, programs, and brands at the same time to complete work
  • Solid organizational and time management skills
  • Sound judgment, strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to learn quickly and work both independently and as a team

You will stand out as a candidate if you have:

  • ACH Accredited Professional (AAP) certification
  • Banking or financial services deposit operations experience
