Bartender

The Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel in Asbury Park, NJ is looking for full-time and part-time bar staff. Bartender responsibilities include providing bar service to both hotel patrons and/or guests, educating customers on our drink’s menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, and up-selling special items/taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge of how brewing equipment operates. You should also be able to work various shifts. This position will interact with everyone in the hotel so you must not only have strong and adaptable interpersonal skills, but a willingness to work alongside others as a team. 

High school diploma required. Minimum 1-year previous experience as a bartender. Minimum 2 years previous experience in a fast-paced bar and/or restaurant, with hotel experience strongly preferred. Must hold all necessary food-handling and/or liquor service permits required by all applicable local law; additional relevant certifications (ServSafe, TiPS, etc.) encouraged.
