Xactra Technologies is looking to add a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to our growing staff! This 1st shift position runs Monday through Thursday from 7am to 4:30pm which gives you 36 hours a week. Some Fridays (two a month may be required pending workload). Great hours just in time for summer!
Xactra Technologies is a high-performance manufacturing facility supplying custom, high precision mechanical components and assemblies to the optical industry.
Main job function would be in packaging parts to be shipped. Parts are machined metal and plastic components (mostly aluminum). Parts are usually very cosmetic in nature and require delicate handling. The packaging is usually wrapping of the parts in protective foam sheets, bubble wrap, etc. and then boxed with additional cushioning. Additional job functions include cleaning parts, when needed, and maintaining inventory of finished products.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and oversee outgoing and incoming shipping activities to every items that is shipped to the correct location and in good condition.
- Read all shipping notices, orders, invoices, and other documents to manage priorities and ensure that the correct shipping methods are used.
- Ensure all shipping records are accurately stored in the database.
- Conduct regular inventory reconciliation to ensure adequate supplies to meet the company's production goals.
- Report to management on damaged goods and any discrepancies with inventory.
- Keep an organized department.
- Maintain 5s standards in the shipping area.
- Use and maintain shipping software including UPS and MRP-Job Boss
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Communications skills - take and give directions in a clear and organized manner.
- Multitasking - prioritize and execute tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving - come up with creative solutions to address any difficulties.
- Technical shipping knowledge - technical understanding of logistic procedures.
- Computer competency - Use of ERP Systems
- 1-year minimum experience in a shipping and receiving setting.
- MRP System Job Boss (experience preferred but not required)
- 1-year of Forklift Experience (preferred but not required)
