Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and serve nutritious meals - The childcare cook is responsible for planning, preparing, and serving balanced meals that meet the dietary needs of the children in their care. This includes ensuring that the meals are age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, and cater to any dietary restrictions or allergies the children may have.
  2. Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment - The cook must maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring that all food storage areas, cooking utensils, and equipment are kept in a sanitary condition. This includes regular cleaning, disinfection, and proper storage of food items.
  3. Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Food handler certification or willingness to obtain.
