Lanai [St. Thomas] is located on the south shore of St. Thomas in beautiful Frenchman’s Bay. Originally opened in 2016 along the shore of Limetree Beach within Limetree Beach Resort, Lanai offers a one of kind location and quintessential Caribbean beachfront dining experience. Lanai offers innovative and refined seafood-forward island fare, and a lively bar program featuring Caribbean-inspired cocktails.  

THE OPPORTUNITY

The ideal candidate is a practiced problem solver, maintains a calm demeanor under pressure, persists to get the job done, and enjoys working alongside a large team to improve performance and increase retention. We are looking for dynamic bar backs who are self-motivated, dedicated, and have a strong passion for food and beverage! RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, efficient, energetic and thoughtful service at all times.
• Support bar team with ongoing bar and back bar maintenance.
• Respond appropriately to any guest requests or issues by communicating effectively with the proper bartender or management.
• Assist in the cleaning and polishing of all tableware.
• Receive instructions from multiple sources and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Support team members in the completion of their duties to ensure the satisfaction of all guests before, during, and after service.
• Have the ability to recite basic menu knowledge and run food to tables if needed.
• Stock, organize and prepare bar related and service-related items.
• Participating in bar prep work as directed by the bar manager and bartenders.
• Be knowledgeable of the restaurant and its history.
• Restocks stations continually with ice, beer, spirits, and wine.
• Run dishwasher and polish glassware.
• Communicate respectfully with coworkers at all levels.
• Adhere to grooming and dress code standards.
• Communication and multi-tasking abilities.
• Stamina, energy and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Teamwork and attention to detail.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Perform other restaurant duties as assigned.

• Must possess exceptional work ethic, strong attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
• Receptive to constructive criticism and performance feedback.
