Infusion RN

Coastal Rheumatology Associates is currently seeking a full-time Infusion RN in our Bluffton, SC practice.

Coastal Rheumatology Associates is a private medical practice specializing in diagnosing and managing rheumatologic disorders. Our provider team consists of medical professionals with years of clinical and research experience that are dedicated to providing excellent care to our patients to aid in improving their health.

The Position: 

You will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients in a professional and courteous manner.  Additionally, you will perform a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for patients under the direction of the manager/provider.  The individual must be enthusiastic about patient care and have the ability to handle varied personalities and personal situations. 

As an Infusion RN, a typical day might look like: 

• Greeting and assessing patient’s health upon arrival and prior to their infusion appointment. 
• Insertions and discontinuation of peripheral intravenous catheters.
• Mixing/monitoring of medications, administering premeds and medications in response to changes in patient’s conditions. 
• Scheduling follow up appointments.
• Documentation of patient visits.
• Assisting with drug inventory management.  

This job might be for you if: 

• You have an RN Degree 
• You have an Active – State Nursing License 
• You have 2 years’ experience working in a healthcare facility 
• You have 6 months experience inserting IV’s 
• You have 6 months experience with infusions, rheumatology preferred
• You connect well with others and are comfortable talking to people. 
  
• You are familiar with NextGen EMT System or another EMR.  
• You have a knowledge CTP & ICD-10 coding practices.
