Responsibilities

The basic function of theLead Service Technicianat Green Built Construction is to travel to homes and businesses and perform skilled and complete repairs and maintenance on clients' HVAC systems. The technician will verify HVAC system performance by conducting tests and determine the system's condition through thorough inspection and diagnosis. The technician will also monitor and document the work performed and materials used in every work order. Below are the essential job duties of this role:

Interact with customers in a cheerful and professional manner

• Troubleshoot, evaluate, and diagnose HVAC issues and explain assessment using non-technical language to the customer.
• Inspects, installs, services, repairs, and maintains HVAC equipment.
• Contributes to a growing service team and offers valuable input.
• Communicate with office dispatch regularly.
• Participate in on-call rotation, which includes working some after-hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Complete any and all miscellaneous tasks assigned by management.

Job requirements

• A minimum of one (1) year residential HVAC service technician experience
• Knowledge and understanding of residential HVAC systems
• Understand how to manage customer expectations and always have the customer's best interest in mind and always present options for them
• Goal and result-oriented and can react quickly to challenging circumstances to achieve the desired end result
• Must obtain EPA certification within 3 months of hire date
• Must obtain RMGA certification within 3 months of hire date
• Must demonstrate skill in both oral and written English language communications
• Acts and dresses professionally at all times
• Committed to performing quality work the first time with little or no need for re-work
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
