WHO YOU ARE:

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Application of surveying principles and practices on a variety of surveying and engineering design projects.
  • Work with Project Managers, Professional Surveyors, and Engineers during various phases of a project.
  • Produce small to large scale, complex drawings.
  • Perform field reviews for Quality Assurance.
  • Perform survey records research.
  • Manage deadlines and prioritize assignments.
  • Effectively communicate with internal staff and external clients.
  • Perform all work and utilize company equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Mentor other staff (based on experience).
  • Working occasionally on a field crew as needed.
  • Understand the public health and safety requirements and be fully trained in the proper safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

    • Associate Degree in applicable field, plus 2 years' experience or
    • High School Graduate or equivalent, plus 4 years' experience.
    • Experience working with MicroStation/Open Roads software in the processing of field data and right of way plan development required.
    • Experience using AutoCAD/Civil 3D a plus.
    • Completion of the Ohio Department of Transportation Right of Way Plan Development Course is a plus.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Valid Driver's License with insurable driving record
    • Ability to visit and safely traverse construction and project sites and complying with all applicable safety codes and requirements.
