Our Community Behavioral Health Center is licensed to 73 beds, carries an average daily census of 69 patients, and has an average length of stay of 5-6 days. Here you will be part of a close-knit all RN unit with Mental Health Workers (who have a CNA background) to assist in the delivery of daily care.

From newly diagnosed psychiatric conditions to re-establishing medications and behavioral patterns for existing psychiatric diagnoses -- we deliver the excellent care our patients need. Nurses at our Community Behavioral Health Center have the skills necessary to lead and care for the mental well-being of our community.

We are looking for skilled psychiatric or Med/Surg nurses to take on challenging work with a specialized team in 12 hour shifts. Our team is very supportive, family-oriented, and prides themselves on their pleasant work environment.

As a nurse for Community Behavioral Health Center, you will work closely with the Behavioral Health team members including Psychiatric Nurse Educators who provide teaching in an individualized or group setting. You will also receive educational training in managing psychiatric emergencies, managing aggressive behaviors, de-escalation techniques and 5150 hold applications. Training for legal issues within behavioral health settings and assessment criteria is provided as well.

Your role here will include opportunities for growing your skillset as well as educational training so that you can qualify to pursue additional certifications within behavioral health (i.e. American Psychiatric Nurses Association). Clinical ladders are also achievable with experience and leadership activities.

Qualifications: Education
• Graduate of approved nursing program required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred

Experience
• Consistent demonstration of Novice / Advance Beginner clinical nursing practice proficiency required

Licenses and Certifications
• RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license required
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
