POSITION DESCRIPTION

The City of Bothell?s Public Works Department presents an exciting opportunity for administrative experts to join a dedicated, enthusiastic team of professionals in our Administrative Division at the Bothell Operations Center as the next Administrative Assistant, Lead! 


What will you do in this position?

  • Act as a Lead to the Administrative Assistant positions. This includes scheduling and prioritizing work tasks, assigning and coordinating daily work activities, performing duties within scope of authority, and training.
  • Apply specific knowledge of department policies and procedures to oversee administrative workflow, manage special projects and assignments, and relieve staff of routine administrative detail. 
  • Create, edit, and process memoranda, technical documents, and other communications.
  • Support records management and retention initiatives by working with Administrative Assistants to maintain department files.


A successful candidate in this position will:

  • Work together with the Bothell Community and Departments to cultivate strong and successful partnerships.
  • Effectively evaluate and prioritize various tasks, projects, and demands.
  • Openly receive new ideas and other perspectives.
  • Ensure clear and efficient communication of information and ideas through diverse communication channels.
  • Make independent decisions aligned to department mission and vision; track department issues and assure the effective communication of operational information.
