As an integral member of our educational munity, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality instruction and support to students with exceptionalities, ensuring their academic success and personal growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs, in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide differentiated instruction tailored to the unique strengths, abilities, and learning styles of each student.
- Adapt curriculum materials and instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities, including but not limited to learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and intellectual disabilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to create a collaborative and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and assistive technologies to support students in accessing the curriculum and achieving their educational goals.
- Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to ensure academic growth.
- Implement behavior management strategies and provide social-emotional support to students with behavioral challenges, promoting positive behavior and conflict resolution skills.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of exceptional education.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid state teaching license or eligibility for licensure in exceptional education.
- Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs, preferably in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Excellent munication skills, both verbal and written.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine mitment to supporting the individual needs of every student.
- Dedication to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
