COMPANY OVERVIEW:
Mattenga's exists to gather friends and families together to deepen relationships around the best food in the world: pizza. The company is a combination of Matt & Enga's (the owners names) desire to run a business that feeds the community while providing a great place to work.

Mattenga's serves pizza, salads, select appetizers, pastas and famous desserts. Craft beer is important because we want to have a combination of fantastic food and great beverages for our customers. We believe in high quality.

Our target market is families with 1 to 5 kids, generally between the ages of 1 and 16. Parents appreciate higher quality food, safer for their children, in a comfortable environment where they can relax and watch their children play. These parents often enjoy a little alcohol with their pizza and are not adverse to a fast-casual environment.

BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS
The ideal candidate is able to manage the flow of resources thru the restaurant and the cost of labor thru detailed scheduling of employees to serve our customers.

The ideal candidate is able to teach and train very effectively, getting new associates up to Mattenga's Master Pizza Maker or Master GEM levels in 3 weeks at maximum.

A manager at Mattenga's is expected to master one area (front or back of house) and meet minimum skill level standards in the other area. A manager is someone who understands that their role is to work alongside of and support the team in serving our guests thru training, scheduling, resources and organization.

They will submit reports on numbers at the meetings and via email.

The ideal manager candidate will work with the other managers to ensure that there is a manager on every shift, every day documenting and enhancing the performance of team members and correcting issues as they come up.

The ideal candidate will manage the systems in place and create or edit any systems as needed to best serve Mattenga's awesome guests. The ideal candidate will be able to bring their experience into the Mattenga's Way and build a team to serve guests in a way that exceeds high expectations. The Mattenga's Way is the way that we do things at Mattenga's, from our job codes to how we top a pizza to our ops books. Our goal was to engineer systemic, replicable Way of doing business that helps our guests, our team and our company WIN.

PAY RANGE (depending on ability, interview evaluation and other internal requirements)
$13-$18 (depends on location & experience)
38-50 hours per week expected.
Plus bonus potential

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1) 1-2 years of management experience
2) Knowledge how to manage restaurant inventory
3) Knowledge how to train and coach their team
4) Knowledge how to create a restaurant schedule
5) Pizzeria management experience is preferred.

Must have or obtain prior to onboarding the Texas ANSI Food Handlers License
Must have or be able to obtain a Food Manager Certificate within 2 weeks of employment
Must have or be able to obtain TABC license to serve alcohol.
Must be able to take deliveries as needed (must meet delivery driver requirements)

Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Must be able to work in hot, stressful & noisy environment.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Twists, bends, turns are a normal part of the job and expected
Able to drive to other locations and to training meetings, etc. Will require passing delivery driver standards.
