ChristianaCare is currently seeking to fill a Registered Respiratory Therapist ll WIP position with benefits, working two 12-hour day shifts 3 of every 4 weekends, off all week and off 1 or every 4 weekends. This position is located at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE with possible rotation to our Wilmington Hospital.

The Respiratory Care Department provides service for the Christiana and Wilmington hospitals. Respiratory Therapists provide service to all areas of the hospital as part of a specialized team including adult and infant critical care units, medical-surgical floors and emergency care.

There are approximately one hundred and fifty six full and part time therapists working throughout Christiana Care Health System.   • Qualifications:

  • Graduate of CoARC Educational Accreditation Committee approved School of Respiratory Therapy. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred.

  • Delaware license or license eligible. 

  • Maintain current BLS certification.

  • Maintains active RRT and CRT credentials from NBRC (National Board of Respiratory Care) required.

  •  Previous acute care experience as a Respiratory Therapist preferred.
