Cyclonaire is currently looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Job Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible to repair, inspect, diagnose issues, and maintain our facilities, equipment, and machinery promptly and efficiently. The Maintenance Technician will perform routine inspections and diagnose issues. They will be responsible for making trips to local stores to pick up supplies or tools. They will also prioritize tasks effectively and work independently or as part of a team to uphold safety standards and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Responsible for contractor vetting, compliance and management for contractors accessing the plant. This role will be able to carry out its functions in accordance with Cyclonaire’s Core Values.

Essential Functions

• Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and machinery to identify any maintenance needs or potential issues.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubricating machinery, replacing parts, and inspecting electrical systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or plumbing problems and execute repairs in a timely manner to minimize disruption to operations.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments and prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact on operations.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inventory of supplies.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols while performing maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and support overall operational objectives.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including maintenance areas and storage areas for tools and equipment.
• Assist in the installation of new equipment or machinery as needed.
• Ensure vendors and contractors have reviewed and signed safety compliance documents and have provided required documentation such as insurance COI’s with Cyclonaire named as additional insured when necessary.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, new technologies, and relevant regulations related to maintenance operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Competencies: Proven experience in building maintenance, repair work, or a related field.

Knowledge of basic maintenance procedures, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, grounds keeping, and carpentry. Ability to operate common hand and power tools safely and effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and prolonged standing.

Education / Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in maintenance or related field preferred.

Physical Demands: Requires frequent touching, grasping, and feeling of physical equipment. Talking, hearing, and repetitive motions are required. Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Work requires constant visual ability. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds independently.

Work Environment: Clean and climate-controlled office environment in a manufacturing facility.

Travel Requirements: Travel to local companies for supplies may be required. Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that permits the use of company automobiles.

Safety: Safety shoes (steel or composite toe), safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and other forms of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required in designated areas.

Other Duties: Safe work performance is always required from each employee. Safely perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals. Required to wear or use PPE as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditions. Understanding and adhering to Cyclonaire Core Values is required.
