Job Description: DevOps Engineer with Microsoft Azure
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, automation, and deployment processes. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely, with a preference for candidates local to Kansas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Microsoft Azure DevOps.
- Manage and optimize Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, networking, and storage solutions.
- Automate deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications using Kubernetes and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth integration of DevOps processes throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of cloud-based services.
- Implement security best practices and compliance standards for Azure infrastructure and applications.
- Document processes, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and support team collaboration.
- Experience in Azure Cloud technology: design and implement infrastructure, Resource management, API management, App deployment to Production environment
- Experience with Github, New relic, containers
- Experience with bicep and YAML languages
- Monitor, optimize and support Azure services
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in DevOps or related roles, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Extensive experience with Azure services, including Azure DevOps, Azure Resource Manager, Azure Functions, and Azure Active Directory.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager templates.
- Strong understanding of containerization technologies and orchestration tools, particularly Docker and Kubernetes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote or distributed team environment.
- Azure certifications such as AZ-400: Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions or AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator are a plus.
Contract Details:
- Duration: Initial 8-month contract, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements and performance.
- Location: Mostly remote, with a preference for candidates local to Kansas.
