Job Description
Position Title: Medical Records Clerk
We are a growing medical practice in Greater Portland. Our group of medical providers offers care to patients in Skilled Nursing and Physical Rehabilitation Centers throughout the area. We have been continuously growing over the past 10 years and our group is currently forty (40) strong consisting of twenty-eight (28) medical providers (MD’s PA’s and NP’s) along with our administrative staff. We are currently looking for a self-starter aspiring to a career position where you will be an integral member of our team and can grow with our business from the ground level up.

Position Responsibilities:
- Mines data from hospital records and preps notes with the information gathered
- Enters medications into our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) from another facility’s EMR
- Verifies and enters demographics
- Monitors and responds to medical provider emails
- As needed, gathers and faxes clinical notes to Primary Care Physicians, Specialists and Insurance Companies
- Will work on other projects as required
Position Qualifications & Skills:
- 1 -2 years experience in a medical office environment
- Must be familiar with basic medical terminology
- Experience navigating an Electronic Medical Record system
- Interest in learning and developing a career path in the health administration field
- Demonstrated ability to draft simple correspondence
- Competent filing, typing, organization and data input skills skills
- Must be able to multi task
- Strong interpersonal and customer interface skills
- Solid technical skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive
- High school degree. Medical Assisting Certification a plus.
We offer a very attractive Compensation & Benefits Package along with a friendly and flexible work environment located in the Beaverton area. This position is full-time with working hours from 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. All candidates are subject to pre-employment drug testing, a Background Check and must have a valid driver’s license/personal transportation to attend off site meetings when necessary.
