A-line Staffing Solutions is working with a Fortune 10 Pharmacy client that is in need of an Pharmacy Technician to become a part of their team in the Order Entry department!
1pm-11pm shift
SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of a registered pharmacist, performs technical, nonjudgmental functions related to Clinical Research Services. Supports and adheres to the Client’s Compliance Program and business standards as well as departmental SOPs
- Review contents of orders to ensure complete and accurate information has been received
- Create a patient profile from a scanned or faxed image by entering correct patient and provider information to ensure all other groups can successful serve the patient
- If a certified pharmacy technician, conduct initial check of order to ensure clinical accuracy for processing
- Communicate with providers regarding order status, order clarification, missing information or patient concerns so that all information is collected and accurate before it reaches other teams for furthering processing
- Updating concise progress notes to ensure other roles within the workflow are able to quickly assess the status of the referral
- Communicate with patients in regards to shipping out orders, answering their questions/concerns to make certain they receive outrageous customer service
- Direct incoming calls from patients and providers to the appropriate individuals to make sure orders are processed in a timely manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Meets or exceeds current CE requirements pursuant to Board of Pharmacy Laws
- Maintains an attitude of constant learning and ensures self-education within the Clinical Research Center area
- Registered technician through the TX Board of Pharmacy
- Prior experience working in a Pharmacy setting preferred
- Competent in basic computer skills
- High School Diploma required
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Above average attention to detail, ability to navigate multiple computer systems, good communication skills, work well within a small team
