Assembly Manager - Custom Machinery

Seeking an experienced Machine Shop Manager. Excellent career opportunity.

- Plans assembly by studying work orders, blueprints and checking material stock.

- Manages Machine Shop.

- Track record of driving improvement within the area of responsibility by having an improved future-state vision, setting goals that move toward that vision and taking the actions required to achieve those goals

- Track record of achieving and sustaining On Time delivery of complex products, all flowing simultaneously through varied process flows - all within a defined budget and quality requirement matrix, and within the context of facility safety culture.

- Track record of being able to juggle multiple projects/priorities simultaneously with ongoing comprehensive understanding of where each project is in current status

- Track record of communication strengths - sustained daily familiarity with what is needed at essential production level, and ability to bring those resources to bear in time to bring about delivery success.

- Calculating requirements including basic math, geometry, trigonometry; proving part programs.

- Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part and sample pieces.

- Maintains specifications by observing cutting, drilling, grooving, turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations.

- Troubleshoot processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; following quality assurance procedures and processes.

- Address preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshoot malfunctions and request repairs.

Requirements

1. 5 or more years of Custom Machine Assembly experience.

2. 3 or more years of Machine Assembly Management experience.
