Autobody Specialist

Are you a mechanically inclined individual who enjoys working on vehicles? If so we have the job for you! We are currently looking for a hard working individual to hire as an automotive technician. Experience in vehicle repair/maintenance is required, and use of personal tools is required. This role will be working in a body shop customizing and repairing trucks and suvs. The individual also must have a valid drivers license. Job duties include:

• Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing gas, alternative fuel, and specialized utility vehicles.
• Testing and lubricating the vehicle's engine, along with other major components.
• Disassembling and reassembling parts.
• Using testing equipment to ensure that vehicle repairs and maintenance are effective.
• Explaining to clients what is wrong with their vehicle and using clear means of communication to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Identifying mechanical problems, often by using diagnostic equipment.
• Following checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examined.
• Performing basic maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and tune ups.
• Welding, hydraulic work, installing cab and chassis, customizing truck beds, wiring, etc.

Qualifications:

• Automotive mechanical experience required, 5 years or more preferred
• Commitment to workplace safety and PPE requirements
• Familiarity with proper use of all shop based tools both hand and powered
• Value on team work and communication with an emphasis on quality/timely results
• Automotive shop experience, ASE certification preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
