Material Handler / Forklift Operator

The Material Handler/Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe operation of a forklift. This position requires a person who is able to work in a team environment, be detail-oriented and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment. This position will be responsible for moving products from one location to another while maintaining the safety standards set forth by the company.
Essential Duties:
·Safely operate forklift and load/unload material from trucks and/or containers
·Unloading materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and delivering them to assigned places
·Operate various types of forklifts
·Perform pre-move inspection on equipment before operating
·Including but not limited to, moving equipment, unloading materials, loading trucks, and operating various types of machinery
·Ensure that all safety precautions are being followed at all times while operating in a steel mill/warehouse environment
·Maintain a clean and safe work area
·Other duties as assigned.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
