Medical Assistant

Hours:
- Full-time hours
- Monday - Friday
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing rooming of patients, chart documentation and medicine reconciliation. Assists physician and staff in coordinating patient care. Functions as primary liaison between patients, staff and physician.
Clinical Duties
- Taking medical histories, vitals.
- Explaining treatment procedures to patients
- Preparing patients for procedures
- Assisting the physician during exams
- Instructing patients about medication and explaining laboratory results
- Authoring prescription refills as directed
- Pre-authoring procedures with insurance companies
Administrative Duties
- Greeting Patients
- Answering telephones
- Updating patient medical records
- Scheduling appointments
- Arranging for outpatient and laboratory services
- Handling correspondence
Pay Rate:
- $19-23/ hour
