To meet the demand of our growing clientele and expanded offerings, we are looking to hire a full time Finishing & Bindery Technician.

You’re generally a happy person with a great attitude. You’re punctual, used to meeting deadlines and an excellent communicator. You prefer a fast past environment, you are a good student, always willing to learn new things and consider yourself to be a problem solver. You enjoy working by yourself but a great team player. You are a self-starter; you don’t cut corners, and you take direction well. You can physically stand for long periods of time, and you gravitate toward repetitive work. Your comfortable using machinery and consider yourself a safe operator.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Assess daily priorities and customer deadlines.

·         Set up and load machines.

·         Operate equipment proficiently.

·         Develop and execute efficient workflows.

·         Trouble shoot problems and find a solution.

·         Quality assurance on all jobs

·          Perform packaging & shipping functions.

·         Always keep an organized and clean workspace.

·         Cutting, padding, binding, drilling, stitching, etc.

·         Work safely

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Previous equipment operation experience in the print industry (preferred not required).
• Basic finishing/bindery knowledge (preferred not required).
• Basic computer skills
• Detail-oriented, dependable, and self-motivated
• Positive outlook, goal-oriented, and reliable
• Critical thinking
• Proficiency in reading measurements
• Basic math
• Read and follow instructions.
• Self-motivated and team player
• Knowledge of print industry (preferred not required)

Experience

• High School graduate some college preferred.
• Previous experience in the sign / graphic industry. (preferred not required)
• Previous experience in the print industry. (preferred not required)

WORKING CONDITIONS

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18 - $22 per hr. depending on experience

Shift: 8-hour shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday

Work setting:

• Office

Education:

• High School graduate, some college preferred.
