Mechanic - Pavers: Graders: Asphalt Machinery

AJ Asphalt & Concrete is a mid-size asphalt and concrete construction company that has served central Ohio since 1983. Many of our employees have enjoyed working for us for 5, 10, even 15 years.

Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Mechanic with at least 5 years of hands-on experience working specifically with pavers, graders, and asphalt machinery. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the intricacies of these machines and a proven track record of diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining them to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics on pavers, graders, and asphalt machinery.
• Perform complex repairs and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues efficiently.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule and prioritize repair and maintenance tasks.
• Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
• Provide expertise and guidance to junior mechanics when necessary.
• Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and technological changes related to pavers, graders, and asphalt machinery.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working specifically with pavers, graders, and asphalt machinery.
• Strong diagnostic skills and ability to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues accurately.
• Proficient in using a wide range of tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and guidelines related to machinery repair and maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.

Pay starts at $30 + Per hour and based on experience
