Staff Accountant Entry Level

We have an immediate opportunity for an early career level Staff Accountant in the Salt Lake County area. This position will support the Controller with various accounting tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to read and understand financial statements.
• Gathers and analyzes information from the general ledger system and from departments.
• Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information.
• Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.
• Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
• Support other accounting as needed to include Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Experience and Education

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in accounting or progressive accounting experience.
• 1-2 years of working as a Staff Accountant
• Construction or Manufacturing accounting experience desired
• Proficient at Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook desire
• Experience using Viewpoint Vista
