Description
Our client is looking for a Procurement Specialist to join their team in Venus. The right candidate for this role is highly motivated and likes to be challenged. Has familiarity with Fishbowl Software.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for steel and related materials.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts, and terms to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Leverage Fishbowl software to oversee and manage inventory levels effectively.
- Implement and optimize inventory control measures within Fishbowl to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Conduct cost analysis on procurement processes, utilizing Fishbowl data for insights.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of procurement budgets.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that all procured materials meet the required standards and specifications.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, including supplier disruptions, price fluctuations, and geopolitical factors.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation within Fishbowl software.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Work closely with production, logistics, and finance teams, utilizing Fishbowl data to streamline the procurement process and enhance overall efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, or a related field a plus.
- In-depth knowledge and proficiency in using Fishbowl software for inventory management.
- Proven experience in procurement within the steel fabrication industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards.
