WA-CT / X-Ray Tech

The CT Technologist, under the direction of the Radiology Manager and the Radiologists, performs computerized Tomography procedures including procedures of an invasive nature. Machine is a Toshiba Aquilon 64 slice scanner. The CT Technologist positions and instructs the patient, operates various pieces of specialized equipment and determines the technical factors for exposure. He/she must insure correct marking/labeling of all films. The CT Technologist must consistently provide safe, quality patient care. He/she also must take call. 1. Graduate of approved AMA school of Radiology and be a registered ARRT2. Possess knowledge in cross sectional anatomy3. Possession of two years diagnostic experience, desirable4. Moderate to heavy physical effort required. Must apply proper body mechanics to safely transport patients and equipment.5. Ability to lift forty (40) pounds from floor to wheelchair or waist6. Ability to move forty (40) pounds six feet7. Ability to reach overhead holding twenty-five (25) pounds8. Ability to lift forty (40) pounds from wheelchair to bed level9. Ability to pull forty (40) pounds from stretcher to bed10. Ability to push 150-pound loaded stretcher 300 feet11. Requires good stamina with flexibility and good manual dexterity; motor skills to operate delicate equipment12. Requires computer skills13. Demonstrates accurate judgment/decision-making ability consistent with radiology knowledge and skills. 14. Provides quality customer service and patient care using the standard radiology technology in accordance with established hospital policy/procedures
