We offer civil and structural engineering, planning + landscape architecture, survey, and construction inspection services to public and private clients throughout Texas.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

You will collaborate closely with the Discipline Lead to analyze, lead, and design diverse civil infrastructure projects, encompassing areas such as paving, drainage, grading, water, and sanitary sewers. This role offers opportunities for specialization in specific domains or comprehensive engagement across all areas. You’ll oversee project coordination, construction activity reporting, resource planning, forecasting, and will play a pivotal role in mentoring and training Engineers. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for generating cost opinions and sealing work products to ensure quality and compliance.

Once selected to join our team, you will:

  • Analyze, design, and lead various aspects of assigned projects.
  • Perform design calculations to ensure adherence to codes, manuals, and project scope, possibly coordinating with regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and staff to produce detailed plans and specifications.
  • Provide cost opinions and potentially report on construction activities, including reviewing pay estimates, shop drawings, and submittals.
  • Seal work products and adjust reports, specifications, plans, construction documents, studies, permits, and designs as necessary.
  • Conduct periodic visits to project sites to review construction progress.
  • Attend and contribute to client meetings as needed.
  • Assist the Discipline Lead with resource planning and forecasting.
  • Mentor and train Engineers to foster professional growth.
  • Deliver technical presentations as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Microstation software or applicable software designed for specific areas of focus
  • Proficient in MS Office and Bluebeam

SKILLS:

  • Extensive knowledge of civil infrastructure, including paving, drainage, grading, water, and sewer systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in CAD design.
  • Strong understanding of foundation systems, gravity systems, and lateral systems, with expertise in designing and tracking loads through various systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Able to execute assignments with minimal direction and provide guidance to others as required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ or more years of civil engineering design experience
  • 1 or more years of experience as a P.E.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent degree
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas
