Counter Sales

Johnstone Supply Of Roswell New Mexico is looking to expand our team. We are a growth-oriented company seeking an energetic, engaging, knowledgeable, and dedicated individual to join our team.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Counter Sales and Service Associate will be responsible for helping our HVAC/R customers find the parts and equipment they need with prompt, friendly and professional service. A candidate for this position must possess the ability, and desire, to learn industry products and services to effectively engage customers in conversation to understand their needs and confidently offer reliable solutions. This position requires an individual that works well in a team environment to build positive relationships with repeat customers.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 or more years of experience in the HVAC/R industry or equivalent training is preferred
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • High-energy, attention-to-detail with the ability to engage with customers at the highest level of customer service.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Knowledgeability in navigating the internet/websites to find product and information for customers
  • Honesty and a strong work ethic

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information
  • Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize sales opportunities while enhancing the customer's experience
  • Process customer transactions such as orders, quotes, or returns
  • Answer phones and respond to customer inquiries, providing information about products, prices, and availabilities all in a timely manner
  • Keep up-to-date with product knowledge, pricing, and promotions to provide accurate information to customers
  • Listen to customer's need and preferences, offering product recommendations and solutions
  • Contribute to achieving sales targets/goals
