Summary: TOTS Early Intervention with supervision will coordinate and provide services to families under IFSP inn accordance with the policies and practices of Tresco, laws, regulations and administrative rulings of governmental organizations and other regulatory and advisory authorities and organizations.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

A: Job Specific:
  1. Maintain confidentiality of all information regarding clients and employees of Tresco.
  2. Proficient in oral and written communication skills, present all paperwork required in an accurate and timely manner.
  3. This position requires the employee to interact with colleagues and all stakeholders professionally and in a manner consistent with policy.
  4. Attend all scheduled meetings and participate in on-going staff development.
  5. Ensure 55% of your time at work is billable time (face to face, home visits, team consultation, community consultation, evaluations, assessments, IFSP meetings).
  6. Assist Family Service Coordinators in developing IFSPs.
  7. Conduct and/or actively participate in screening, assessment and comprehensive multidisciplinary evaluations with appropriate academic and in-service training in instruments and methodologies.
  8. Accurately prepare appropriate assessment summaries, reports and recommendations in collaboration with other team members within required timelines.
  9. Provide direct service to eligible children and their families based on an IFSP.
  10. Plan for and implement home visits and other interactions designed to address IFSP outcomes for children and families.
  11. Collaborate and consult with other team members to promote optimal child and family development and needed family services without duplication, gaps or delays.
  12. Provide intervention and developmental support to children and families with multiple, complex risk factors to help ensure healthy child outcomes and the optimal development of the child in all domains (physical, cognitive, communication, social-emotional, and adaptive).
  13. Provide services only within the scope allowed under the awarded level of certification in accordance with “Certification and Recertification Requirements for Developmental Specialists”.
  14. Apply for Developmental Specialist Certification within one month of hire receive certification by the FIT Program in order to bill.
  15. Renew Developmental Specialist Certification within required timeline.
  16. Participate in reflective supervision at least once a month.
  17. Conduct Vision & Hearing screenings.
  18. Assure compliance with accreditation and state licensing standards.
  19. Provide appropriate client data to be entered in the data base in a timely manner.
  20. Actively participate in Curriculum planning with other Early Intervention Teams to include using inclusive practices and intervention coaching with families.
  21. Accurately maintain children’s working files according to accreditation standards and review documentation recorded by interventionist.
  22. Coordinate Community Projects, Child Find, Screenings, etc. as directed.
  23. Accurately complete daily activity logs and submit within required timelines.
  24. Implement Home based and Center based program for assigned children.
  25. Work with individual children or in small groups
  26. Accept and implement special projects as assigned by supervisor
  27. Seek growth in the profession to keep abreast of new techniques, equipment and materials.
  28. Share talents and ideas with other team members to facilitate program development.
  29. Agree to fulfill performance responsibilities in location(s) assigned.
  30. Comply with local, state and federal rules and regulations.
B. Company Specific:

  2. Completes annual health, safety, and education requirements and demonstrate expected level of competency for each course completed.
  3. Reports to work on time as scheduled; stay awake and alert during work/training; adheres to policies regarding notification of absence.
  4. Attends all mandatory trainings and staff meetings.
  5. Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner by establishing and maintaining professional relationships that foster growth and development.
  6. Complies with all organizational policies and procedures, to include all ethical business practices.
  7. Communicates the mission, ethics, and goals of the company.
  8. Maintains current licensure/certification for position, if applicable.
  9. Consistently follows departmental and company Health, Safety, Security, Hazardous Materials policies and procedures (OSHA, SDS information, HIPAA, and Workers Compensation).
  10. Respect for diversity (cultural, ethnicity, ideas, etc.) and demonstrate ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  11. Must carry work phone while on duty at all times; respond to phone calls, text messages, and emails in a timely manner.
  12. This position may require the employee to operate either a company owned or personal vehicle on behalf of the company; the company owned vehicle should always remain clean.
