About the Job
The HIM Specialist is responsible for scanning, medical record analysis, release of information, coding, assisting with provider credentialing.
To be Successful:
Experience in a hospital, clinic, or surgery center HIM department with EHR experience.
A clear understanding of release of information guidelines and laws.
Subject matter expert level knowledge of HIPAA laws.
Ability to understand a medical chart.
Ability to understand a provider application and file.
Experience Needed to be Successful in this Role
At least one year in a clerk/tech/analyst/medical staff credentialing role in an HIM department
