Job Description

Job Overview: We are seeking skilled and experienced line cooks to join our kitchen team. As a line cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to the highest standards of quality and consistency, while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients before each service.
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
  • Work efficiently on the line during busy service periods, coordinating with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and seamless execution of orders.
  • Monitor food levels and replenish supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock throughout the shift.
  • Follow proper cooking techniques and temperature guidelines to ensure food safety and quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, including proper storage and labeling of food items, regular cleaning of equipment and work surfaces, and adherence to hygiene protocols.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing deliveries, rotating stock, and conducting periodic inventory counts.
  • Collaborate with chefs, sous chefs, and other members of the kitchen team to develop new menu items, refine existing recipes, and optimize kitchen operations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role in a restaurant or culinary establishment.
  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, frying, and braising.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and multitask effectively.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Food handler's certification or willingness to obtain one.
