Job Description
The Dishwasher cleans all kitchen and restaurant utensils, dishware, pots & pans for the kitchen and restaurant/bar areas. Assists in cleaning and organizing Food and Beverage areas throughout the property.
Primary duties:
- Responsible for the cleaning and sanitization of cooking utensils and service ware to provide cooks, bus persons and food servers with appropriate equipment for guests' dining experience.
- Requires cleaning of physical surroundings.
- Sometimes responsible for the prep of the kitchen.
- Assist in food preparation and cooking as needed.
- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with catering events as needed.
- Promptly and carefully sort soiled ware so that it can be put through the dish or pot machine properly.
- Keep dish machine properly cleaned and filled with water per hotel standards.
- Clean kettles, tilt skillets, pots and pans promptly and completely so cooks can carry out their work.
- Perform general/routine cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
- Clean and dry floors to avoid slip/fall accidents.
- Separate linen from other debris.
- Utilize protective equipment.
- Report unsafe conditions to management.
- Report accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to management.
- Provide for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.
- Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
- Assist other Kitchen Personnel when need.
- Professional in presentation and demeanor
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a busy environment focused on the guest experience
- Ability to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays as business dictates
- Ability to cross-train in other hotel related areas
- Must show initiative, including anticipating guest and operational needs.
