Job Summary:


The Data Processing position will provide administrative support for the capture and transfer of information for storage, processing or transmitting. Interact with the company’s customers by answering phones, responding to email inquiries and assisting in all clerical duties in the office as needed.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Customer service – including, but not limited to: answering phones, responding to emails
  • Review discrepancies on paperwork received with a supervisor, client, or consultant as needed.
  • Data entry in various databases – such as Element & Access
  • Generating reports for soil, tissue and waters out of Element and export into excel, save to appropriate client file.
  • Accuracy transferring data to Excel spreadsheets.
  • Reporting drinking water nitrate values over the maximum contaminate level (MCL) to the client, consultant, and regulatory agency as appropriate.
  • Reporting positive Coliform and/or E. Coli results to the client, consultant, and regulatory agency as appropriate.
  • Filing various documentation in the appropriate client files
  • Prepare data entry – including ensuring that client numbers are correct on field sheets and that there is an analysis indicated and accurately entering into Element.
  • If new client, enter new client information into Element.
  • Create labels from Element for samples and provide labels to sample receiving.
  • Inventories and submits requests for supplies applicable to task(s) as needed.
  • All personnel are responsible for complying with all quality and data integrity policies and procedures that are relevant to their area of responsibility.
  • Annually, all employees shall be given a refresher ethics and data integrity training and are required to sign off on the Ethics & Data Integrity Policy
  • As documents such as the Quality Manual or SOPs are revised, employees must attest through signature that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by the latest version of the documents or other policies that they are responsible to follow.
  • Additional training may be added specific to the tasks or functions the employee is specifically assigned.
  • Attend outside training as necessary.
  • May assist or cover duties typically performed by other Data Processors, cutting, labeling, weighing, sample receiving, send outs, etc. for the Lab.
  • During our slower times, willingness to assist in a number of areas will be essential to maintain full-time hours.
  • Other duties as assigned and qualified for, as determined by management.

Mon-Fri

Range $19.00 to $23.00 hr.

Education and Experience:
