Title of Position Sous Chef


Job Description: The Sous Chef plays a crucial role in managing the entire kitchen operations for the restaurant, supporting the Executive Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to guests. In this role, the sous chef will assist with the day-to-day operations of the culinary department, upholding service standards, and helping to meet and exceed profit goals. The Sous Chef is responsible for ordering, receiving, and properly handling products, and ensuring that all products represent our high standards. Additionally, the Sous Chef is responsible for assisting with the management of daily service, holiday menus, group functions, and special events. Success in this position requires excellent culinary skills, with the ability to create exceptional dishes that meet guests' expectations. A deep understanding of kitchen operations best practices and the ability deliver on assigned tasks. Above all, the Sous Chef is committed to maintaining high standards and delivering exceptional culinary experiences to guests. Qualifications:


The Sous Chef must have a minimum of 1 year of related culinary experience in a high-volume atmosphere

The Sous Chef must have experience in inventory/cost controls, fiscal planning, and knowledge of basic kitchen equipment

The Sous Chef must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

It is preferred that the Sous Chef have experience with small banquets as well as a la carte service

The Sous Chef should have open availability
