Car Detailer / Cleaner

Description:

The Detailer is responsible for the detailed maintenance of vehicles in accordance with company standards and customer requirements.

Provide customer service to internal and external customers promptly and professionally.

Maintain partnership with all departments as necessary.

Communicate necessary information to pertinent partners.

Clean interior and exterior of vehicles.

Wash vehicle exterior, clean interior and exterior windows, and wipe down doorjambs.

Apply wax to auto body, and wipe or buff surface.

Vacuum interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris.

Clean upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.

Apply revitalizers and preservation agents to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treat fabrics with spot- and stain-resistant chemicals.

Apply special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgment and following product manufacturer's recommendations.

Inspect vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation and communicate with manager.

Restore appearance of engine area, rugs and upholstery, and painted surfaces. Use touch-up paint, dyes, and other appropriate materials.

Fill vehicle with fuel as directed by management.

Apply dressing on tires and tire wells.

Maintain showroom and stock vehicles in clean and presentable condition at all times.

Remove all window stickers on sold vehicles.

Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all work areas.

Job Type: Full-time

Requirements:

·High School Diploma or GED preferred; or equivalent experience of (3) three to (5) years with a stable work history.

·Ability to use equipment such as a vacuum cleaner, spot cleaner, floor sweeper, etc. to clean vehicles.

·Ability to follow directions from supervisor and from customers.

·High attention to detail. ·Good communication skills.

·Able to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, kneel, stand, walk, stretch, twist, crawl as part of job duties as needed to meet customer needs.
