Description:

Management and Construction Solutions Inc, an industry leader in the management of construction upgrades and installations of large industrial projects, is looking for an entry level engineer with experience in Industrial Construction. This is a full-time year-round position with an 17 month assignment in Skowhegan, ME. Permanent relocation is not required but onsite work is required for 20-25 days per month. A per diem allowance for housing and food as well as compensated travel between site and home are provided. As an entry level engineer, you will be responsible to assist the Electrical/Instrumentation Lead.


Duties include:

- Checking/cross referencing engineering drawings submitted by the Engineer of record

- Work with the E/I Lead to order material/equipment to complete the scope, including verifying quantities through takeoffs and approving contractor requisitions.

- Following up with vendor delivery status after material is ordered ensuring items stay on schedule

- Work with the E/I Lead to review/monitor the E/I contractors’ schedules/productivity/budgets

- Filling out daily quantity trackers for all major materials

- Filling out daily performance/earned value trackers

- Cross referencing contractor time sheets vs. the projects clock in reports

- Work with the E/I Lead to create/maintain/update the E/I schedule

Requirements:

Qualifications


- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

- 5+ years’ experience in the E/I industrial construction field

- Ability to think critically and independently to make sound decisions

- Attention to detail is critical for success


Compensation


- Hourly, depending on experience. This is a non-exempt position, so overtime hours are paid at 1.5x base rate. Anticipated workload of 60 hours per week for 2023.

- Per diem allowance for housing and food

- Compensable travel time between site and home, every third week

- Travel expense reimbursement
