Staff Officer - L3

Overall Assignment Description:

Duties include:

Serve as a primary suspense coordinator for all CIO-T, and CIO-TQB and subordinate office taskings to include those from external agencies, internal offices, and staff packages.

Support and attend the Suspense Coordinators' Meetings and disseminate pertinent information or policy and procedures obtained from these meetings.

Maintain Tasker group mailbox for assigned office. Respond to emails requesting the status of a task promptly and provide assistance on the proper procedures when responding to staff packages.

Communicate with Groups and Offices and subject matter experts as it relates to the status of assigned tasks.

Ensure timely completion of actions and will collaborate with other Lead Suspense Coordinators to resolve task(s) related issues or to negotiate task due dates (extensions).

Brief the Front Office and/or the GPOC of new taskers received promptly at the request of the Government status of all current taskers.

Review all responses for content, spelling, grammar and format.

Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of office management policies, procedures, records management, and guidelines. Keep abreast of new policies, procedures, directives, policy letters, and developments and distribute this information. Improve and/or document processes, create Standard Operating Procedures and checklists.

Perform administrative officer duties to include scheduling, coordinating meetings, coordinating calendars and events; and gathering, inputting, and retrieving electronic data. Assist in the preparation of routine and specific topic briefings and reports; prepare and distribute briefing report and read-ahead material.

Assist with Office Staff meetings and provide administrative and coordination support to the forum; take notes and electronically record actions from key personnel as needed.

Routinely review floor plans, coordinate office moves and obtain appropriate authorization for office construction, equipment or personnel moves; update seating charts and prepare cubicle names signs for incoming personnel.

Support Chief of Staff and Division Chiefs as it pertains to other office management duties.


Required Skills and Experience:

Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to obtain CI poly

Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience within related field.

7-10 years of experience

Demonstrated experience with:

o Interacting with senior-level directors and/or agency heads.

o Microsoft Outlook and Excel Applications.

o Effective data gathering and analytic skills


Desired Skills and Experience:

Proficiency on government systems e.g. Defense Travel Systems (DTS), Central Electronic Routing and Tasking System (CERTS), Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS), and Management Execution Tracker System (MET).

Demonstrated experience drafting documents and preparing and delivering briefings.

Demonstrated experience planning and leading sub-tasks/projects.

Demonstrated knowledge of Intelligence Community; Department of Defense; and NGA Directorates.

Demonstrated experience with using SharePoint.
