Retail Customer Service Team Member

• Assisting Cashiers at the checkout during peak times to minimize customer wait times
• Assisting customers by loading purchases in their vehicles.
• Gather up and return all shopping carts to designated locations
• Maintaining clean and safe grounds and facilities by regularly checking designated areas and performing cleaning/organizing as required.
• Assisting in the timely and accurate stocking of products by unloading deliveries, labeling and placing in sales areas as directed.
• Moving product and deliveries using a forklift (Forklift training and certification will be provided).
• Maintaining plant health and salability by watering when and as directed.
• Safely operating the company delivery vehicle when delivering customer purchases, picking up products from wholesale suppliers or doing product transfers between business locations.
• Completing paperwork accurately, including regular safety and maintenance checklist for company delivery vehicle and delivery and pickup paperwork.
• Assisting the retail team by answering phones when needed.
• Accurately and efficiently process customer purchases using the VMX POS software.
• Stay informed about products, promotions, and discounts to inform and assist customers effectively.
  
• Encourage customers to consider additional products or upsell when appropriate.
• Coordinate with team members to address customer needs and resolve issues
• Performing additional tasks and duties assigned by supervisor as required to provide and maintain a pleasant, welcoming shopping environment and outstanding customer service.

• Must be available to work weekday, weekend and holiday shifts.
• Able to work outdoors in every type of weather.
• Good communication skills, self motivated, goal-oriented, honest, and ethical.
  
• Punctuality and limited absences.
  
• Able to bend, squat, kneel, lift up to 50 pounds, and carry 15-20 pounds repeatedly the length of the greenhouse or outdoor sales area.
• Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Ability to maneuver between greenhouse tables which are 24 inches apart.
• Valid NC Driver's License with clean driving record.
